Where we came from
Back in 2013, Nymbol was simply a content management system which powered applications, developed by Mark Steadman.
Then came the big break, when Nymbol was chosen to power a mobile app, Dozens and Trails, engaging a new digital audience with the Library of Birmingham’s vast heritage archive.
Creating the solution for the Library’s mobile application was very much a collaborative process. The digital studio Substrakt worked alongside Ammba, a digital strategy consultancy, to help frame the needs of the Library within the technological possiblities. Nymbol then provided the engine which underpinned the mobile app.
The project was so successful that we have all continued to work together and gone on to deliver projects with the Imperial War Museum and Silverstone Archives. It is time for Nymbol to grow.
Our collaborators
Nymbol works with a number of specialist partners, to bring into projects as and when needed.
